A VALEDICTION TO A LIFE OF BEAUTY

We often take beautiful smiles, handsome faces and hearty conversations for granted.
We eat, drink, dance, gossip; eat, drink, dance and gossip some more...

Your smile was, indeed, beautiful.

All you had to do was to part your lips and then everything was alright.
Those teeth had a way of shining beams straight into lives, into hearts, into spirits and into souls; so infectious; like a vile cancer that transforms your body, in a second.

And then, of course, that smile had its way of Hypnotizing the ladies...

Your face WAS handsome.
Every woman with blood running through her veins and swaying hips couldn't walk by you without doing a double take.
And your heart was handsome; you lived by the motto of generosity, you loved hard, until we could see the love pour out of your eyes in dollops of glee and grief.

Your words were more than hearty.
It was hard to zip our lips, when we were with you, because you'd talk and laugh and joke and tickle and prod, until words would gush out of our mouths, like water bursting out of a weak pipe, by the road side.
And talking to you was easy because, we could see our pain in your fists, our joy on your lips, our sorrow in the crease of your forehead, our turbulent, unstable emotions in the centres of your eyes; you didn't judge.

But we took that beautiful smile for granted.
We overlooked that handsome face.
We quickly forgot those hearty conversations...

And today, we cannot eat, drink, dance and gossip and as we scream heavy verses, we're not even sure if you can hear us or not.
And if you can, know that your life was one of beauty, one to be celebrated, one to be written about in the books of the living.
